STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – The SCAD women's bowling team traveled to Sterling Heights, Michigan for the Fifth Annual NAIA National Championship on March 20-22
nd. The Bees advanced to the quarterfinals before ending their run.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: The three-day tournament consisted of double elimination best of seven baker games match play. Qualifying seeding before the start of the tournament decided match-ups.
MATCH PLAY: The Bees qualified as the number one team, out of 12, to earn a bye in the first round.
SCAD faced No. 8 Spring Arbor in round two and lost 4-3 (205-228, 159-204, 205-268, 258-217, 247-232, 232-226, 191-223), which put the Bees in the elimination bracket. Spring Arbor went on to win the 2025 NAIA National Championship Title.
Round three saw SCAD matched against No. 10 Lawrence Tech where the Bees won 4-2 (205-175, 187-183, 231-181, 194-197, 193-212, 212-159) to advance.
The Bees faced off against No. 12 Morningside in the fourth round and advanced with a 4-3 (191-152, 174-175, 229-115, 212-221, 214-183, 200-243, 189-178) win.
No. 7 Pikeville met SCAD in round five and the Bees earned a 4-1 (204-224, 209-162, 224-198, 238-162, 234-227) win to advance to the quarterfinals.
SCAD faced No. 2 Mount Mercy in the quarterfinals where they lost 4-0 (165-252, 161-254, 183-187, 220-174) to end the run for the National Championship Title.
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will travel to the Intercollegiate Team Championship on April 16-20, in Las Vegas, Nev.
