Women’s Bowling Wins Tier 1 Midwest Collegiate Classic to Open the Season

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – The SCAD women's bowling team opened the season at the Tier 1 Midwest Collegiate Classic, finishing in first place in the field of 42.
 
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: The two-day tournament consisted of five individual games on day one, followed by 16 baker games and match play on day two. The total pinfall from the individual games and baker games determined the qualifying standings, with the top eight teams competing in match play.
 
INDIVIDUAL GAMES: Elizabeth Weeks was SCAD's top finisher with a total pinfall of 973 for an average of 194.6, placing 16th. Carly Zuklin finished five individual games with a total pinfall of 965 for an average of 193, placing her 20th overall in the field of 304.
 
After four individual games, Caylin Campbell had a total pinfall of 748 for an average of 187, finishing 124th.
 
At the conclusion of day one, SCAD had a total pinfall of 4635.
 
BAKER GAMES: After 16 baker games, the Bees had a total pinfall of 7707, qualifying them fourth overall in the field of 42.
 
MATCH PLAY: In the first round, No. 4 SCAD faced No. 5 Pikeville and won 2-1 to advance to the final four.
 
The Bees took on No. 8 St. Ambrose in round two, winning in straight games (2-0) to advance to the final.
 
No. 4 SCAD defeated No. 7 Cumberland 2-1 to win the 2025 Tier 1 Midwest Collegiate Championship.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will remain on the road to compete at the Tier 2 Mid South Tournament in Smyrna, Tenn., on October 25.
