GREEN BAY, Wisc. – The SCAD women's bowling team traveled to Green Bay, Wisc. For the Intercollegiate Team Championship on April 16-18 and finished 7
th/8
th overall.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: The three-day tournament consisted of 24 Baker games for qualifying and then seven (or eight, if needed) rounds of match play. Match play consisted of a double bracket, double elimination, best of seven competition.
QUALIFYING: After the first round of 12 qualifying Baker games, SCAD was in 15
th with a total pinfall of 2071. NCAA DI Jacksonville State University was in first with a total pinfall of 2363.
The Bees moved into 13
th after the conclusion of the Baker games with a total pinfall of 4266. Jacksonville State remained in first with a total pinfall of 4799.
MATCH PLAY: SCAD faced No. 4 North Carolina A&T in round one. The Bees lost 4-3 and faced No. 12 St. Vincent in round three where they won 4-2 to advance.
In round four, SCAD defeated No. 9 Central Missouri 4.5-0.5. In the fifth round, SCAD lost 4-3 to No. 16 Maryville to end their run.
AWARDS: Elizabeth Weeks was named the IBMA Bowler of the Year and a NCBCA Second-Team All-American.
