SAVANNAH, Ga. – SCAD women's bowling team hosted the NAIA Open I and II over the weekend. The Bees won the NAIA Open I and finished second in the NAIA Open II.
TOURNAMENT FORMATS: The NAIA Open I consisted of five individual games with total pinfall determining the winner. The top five individuals earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
The NAIA Open II consisted of 25 baker games with total pinfall determining the winner.
Winners from each event competed against one another to determine an overall winner.
NAIA OPEN I: The Bees finished first in the NAIA Open I with a total pinfall of 4954. Milligan University finished in second with a total pinfall of 4779.
Elizabeth Weeks won the Individual Title with a total pinfall of 1126 for an average of 225.2. Joining Weeks on the All-Tournament Team were
Paris Mendones and
Carly Zuklin, who finished in third and fifth with their respective pinfalls of 1022 (204.4) and 1001 (200.2).
NAIA OPEN II: SCAD finished second in the NAIA Open II with a total pinfall of 4549. Milligan University won the event with a total pinfall of 4781.
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will travel to Indianapolis, Ind. for the Tier 1 Hoosier Classic on February 14-15.
