CINCINNATI - No. 2-ranked University of Dayton rallied with four fourth-quarter goals to edge No. 15 Savannah College of Art and Design 8-7 in a men's lacrosse match Saturday (Feb. 13) afternoon at Turpin High School.
The Bees fell to 1-2 and will return to action with a 3 p.m. contest against No. 3-ranked Davenport University in Kennesaw, Ga. It will be the third consecutive match against a ranked opponent for SCAD.
SCAD had taken a 6-4 lead through three quarters against the 2009 national runner-up.
Derek Shurson led the offensive attack for the Bees with four goals and an assist while
Shelton Polka added two goals and an assist.
Jordy McManus notched the remaining SCAD goal.
Trey McKay contributed two assists while
Dan Comite added another.
Wade Winebrenner recorded 16 saves in goal for SCAD.
