HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The No. RV SCAD men's lacrosse team battled No. RV Life University to a 15-12 loss at home on Saturday night.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 4-8, 2-4 AAC, while the Running Eagles are 2-4, 2-3 AAC.
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD outscored Life in the first quarter, with goals from
Mason Hickman (
Sebastian Manuel),
Theron Turnbull (Hickman), and Manuel (
Michael Mowers) to go up 3-2 heading into the second.
Unfortunately, the Running Eagles put up six goals in the second quarter as
Noah Moreland and
Michael Mowers (
Sebastian Manuel) scored for the Bees to give Life an 8-5 lead going into halftime.
SCAD came out firing in the third quarter, scoring five goals –
Noah Moreland (
Michael Mowers),
Mason Hickman (
Sebastian Manuel),
Theron Turnbull,
Griffith Long (Manuel), and
Mason Hickman (Manuel) – to the Running Eagles' three to go into the final down by one (11-10).
Mason Hickman scored the last two goals of the game, but it was not enough, as Life scored four goals in the fourth quarter to earn the 15-12 win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Sebastian Manuel tied the program record of assists in a single game as he totaled five assists and one goal for a team-high six points.
Mason Hickman scored five goals and added one assist for a team-high six points.
Theron Turnbull and
Noah Moreland totaled two goals each, with Turnbull adding one assist for three points.
Michael Mowers had three points, one goal, and two assists, while
Griffith Long tallied one goal.
Goalie
Noah Miller totaled 10 saves in his 60 minutes of work.
