WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The No. RV SCAD men's lacrosse team ended the season at No. 3 Cumberlands in the Appalachian Athletic Conference quarterfinal, falling 28-4 on Saturday.
RECORDS: The Bees are 5-10, while the Patriots improve to 10-3 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Cumberlands took a quick 2-0 lead before
Mason Hickman, off an assist from
Sebastian Manuel, found the back of the net to cut the lead in half (2-1) at the 12:38 mark. The Patriots responded with four unanswered goals to go up 6-1 going into the second quarter.
The Bees were not able to get on the board in the second and third quarters as the Cumberlands scored 17 to go up 23-1 heading into the final quarter.
The Patriots scored four goals to start the fourth quarter. The Bees answered with three goals—
Sebastian Manuel (
Michael Mowers),
Noah Moreland (Mowers), and Mowers—to end the game with a score of 28-4 in favor of the Cumberlands.
