HARDEEVILLE, S.C. - Seven different players scored as the Savannah College of Art and Design men's lacrosse team easily defeated the University of North Florida 15-2 Sunday (April 5) afternoon.
The 20th-ranked Bees improved to 5-11. The match also was the final home contest for five seniors -
Kenan Degirmenci,
John Healy,
Kyle Merrill,
Brandon Ussery and
Stewart Yost.
Healy led the scoring parade with four goals and an assists while
Shelton Polka dotted the back the net three times to go along with an assist.
Trey McKay also recorded also scored three times and assisted on another while
Derek Shurson tallied two goals and an assist.
Michael Molinaro,
Justin Sicard and Yost each registered a goal as the Bees positioned themselves for a berth in the upcoming SouthEastern Lacrosse League Division II Tournament. #A.J. Getz# also had an assist for the Bees.
Degirmenci led the defensive effort for the Bees as the goalie had two saves. Overall, the Bees didn't allow the Ospreys a goal in the second half or a shot in the fourth quarter.
