ATHENS, Tenn. - The 13th-ranked Savannah College of Art and Design men's lacrosse team picked up their first win of the season with a 12-8 decision over No. 16 Stonehill College Sunday (Feb. 22) on the final day of the TWC Lacrosse Invitational.

The Bees, who improved to 1-5, will return to action Saturday (Feb. 28) with a 3 p.m. contest against the University of Saint Thomas (Minn.) in Atlanta.

John Healy led SCAD with five goals while Shelton Polka tallied four. Derek Shurson added two goals while Justin Sicard registered one. Shurson led the Bees with four assists while Polka also contributed two. Dan Comite and Healy also had an assist each.

Kenan Degirmenci recorded 19 saves in goal for SCAD.
