WALESKA, Ga. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) has announced its 2026 Men's Lacrosse postseason awards, and the SCAD Savannah Bees have captured the spotlight with a historic haul of honors.
Highlighting the announcements are
Mason Hickman, named the AAC Offensive Player of the Year, and
Justin Moe, voted the AAC Coach of the Year.
In total, five Bees earned All-Conference nods, while the program's culture was recognized through the NAIA Champion of Character award. SCAD also named 15 to the AAC All-Academic Team.
Major Award Winners
Mason Hickman | Offensive Player of the Year
Hickman's 2026 campaign has been nothing short of legendary. During the conference slate, Hickman started all nine games, finishing tied for first in the AAC in goals (35) and leading the league in total points (45).
His impact on the SCAD record books is already etched in stone; he broke the single-season goals record and subsequently the single-season points record. Currently, Hickman leads the team in goals (68) and shots on goal (113). With 16 assists to his name, he sits at 84 total points on the year—tied for the all-time single-season points lead.
Justin Moe | Coach of the Year
Under the guidance of
Justin Moe, the Bees have reached new heights in 2026. Moe has led the team to a 14-3 record, placing them just one win away from tying the program's single-season wins record heading into the AAC Semifinals.
This season featured historic victories against then-No. 4 Reinhardt and then-No. 7 University of the Cumberlands for the first time since 2018 and 2019, respectively. It also marked the first time since 2019 that the Bees defeated an NAIA Top-5 opponent.
Moe's leadership secured the No. 2 seed in the AAC Tournament—the highest in program history—earning the team a first-round bye.
AAC First-Team All-Conference
- Mason Hickman (Attack): (See Offensive Player of the Year).
- Jonathan O'Bryant Graves (Midfield): A force on both ends of the field, Graves ranks second on the team in ground balls (69) and seventh in the AAC (44 during conference play). He leads the midfield unit with 34 goals, 14 assists, and 49 points.
- David Nebus (Defense): Nebus has been a defensive vacuum this year, leading the Bees with 35 caused turnovers and ranking third in the AAC with 19 during conference play. He also secured 62 ground balls, the third-highest mark on the team.
AAC Second-Team All-Conference
- Sebastian Manuel (Attack): Manuel has formed a terrifying duo with Hickman. He leads the team with 46 assists and ranks second in the AAC with 24 in conference play. With 38 goals and 84 points, he is currently tied with Hickman for the single-season program record in points.
- Keaton Melcher (Goalie): Melcher has been a wall in the cage, leading the Bees with 94 saves and a .516 save percentage. His 83 saves during AAC play ranked fourth in the conference.
Hunter Currie | Champion of Character
Senior
Hunter Currie was honored as the AAC Champion of Character, representing the five core values of the NAIA: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
AAC All-Academic Team
The No. 2-seeded Bees now turn their attention to the AAC Semifinals where they face the No. 3 seeded Eagles of Reinhardt University as they look to build on this record-breaking regular season.
