KANSAS CITY, Mo.- SCAD Men's Lacrosse's swarmed the NAIA weekly honors with
Mason Hickman being named Offensive Player of the Week and
Lucas Martinez being named Defensive Player of the Week.
NAIA Offensive Player of the Week
Mason Hickman | Senior | Attack | Stone Harbor, N.J.
Hickman had an offensive surge this past week with 14 points on nine goals and five assists. Hickman now sits at 68 goals on the season and after an eight-goal game against Montreat, he now holds the SCAD single season record for goals and tied the record for goals in a single game. This week he went an impressive 16-of-24 for shots on goal. On defense he grabbed five ground balls and forced a turnover.
NAIA Defensive Player of the Week
Lucas Martinez | Senior | Face off | Aurora, Ohio
Martinez had a stellar week at the face off X going 46-54. He patrolled the turf scooping up 20 ground balls for the Bees. Martinez made his presence known all over the field as he found the back netting and notched an assist. Martinez highlighted his week going a superb 25-28 at the X in the contest with No. 7 University of the Cumberlands.
The Bees are gearing up for the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) tournament. As the No. 2 seed, SCAD gets a bye and kicks off play on Friday, May 1.
