GREEN BAY, Wisc. – The SCAD men's bowling team traveled to Green Bay, Wisc. For the Intercollegiate Team Championship on April 16-18 and finished 7
th/8
th overall.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: The three-day tournament consisted of 24 Baker games for qualifying and then seven (or eight, if needed) rounds of match play. Match play consisted of a double bracket, double elimination, best of seven competition.
QUALIFYING: After the first round of 12 qualifying Baker games, SCAD was in fourth with a total pinfall of 2400. Webber International University was leading the 16-team field with a total pinfall of 2441.
The Bees moved into second after the conclusion of the Baker games with a total pinfall of 4704. Webber International remained in first with a total pinfall of 4809.
MATCH PLAY: SCAD was the top seed in the Blue Bracket and faced No. 15 Trine University and lost 4-3. The Bees faced No. 10 St. Francis (Ill.) in round three and won 4-0 to advance.
In round four, SCAD defeated No. 3 Milligan University 4-2 to face No. No. 14 Spring Arbor University in round five. Unfortunately, the Bees lost 4.5-2.5 to end their run.
AWARDS: Landin Jordan was named to the NCBCA All-Rookie Team.
