WALESKA, Ga.  – SCAD's Lucas Martinez has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending February 22.

Martinez had an impressive weekend, winning 24-31 at the faceoff and picking up game-highs in ground balls in both games. The Senior added one goal and one assist on the weekend, and was perfect in shots on goal, going five for five. Currently, SCAD is 6-0 to overall, recording a program best start to any season.
 
The Bees will return to action on February 28 against the University of Michigan-Dearborn at Montreat College. Opening faceoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
