ROME, Ga. — The No. RV SCAD men's lacrosse team continued its perfect start to the season with a commanding 21-0 victory over Shorter University on Thursday afternoon at Ben Brady Field.
RECORDS: The Bees improved to 5-0 on the season, while the Hawks fell to 0-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD established immediate control in the first quarter, jumping out to a 5-0 lead with goals from Ethan Cline, Eli Philips, Mason Hickman and Sebastian Manuel (2).
The momentum surged in the second quarter as the Bees exploded for 10 goals. Eight players combined for the 10 goals – Hickman (2), David Nebus, Manuel (2), Hunter Currie, Lucas Martinez, Griffith Long, Cline, and Peter Zagaroli – to give SCAD a 15-0 advantage heading into halftime.
The Bees added four more goals in the third quarter, including scores from Hickman (2), Zagaroli and Cline.
In the final frame, Logan Ortigosa and Ryan Byrne provided the finishing touches to secure the 21-0 win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: The Bees' offensive pressure was relentless as SCAD outshot the host team 45-8 and held a 30-1 advantage in shots on goal.
Mason Hickman led the scoring effort with five goals and one assist, followed by Sebastian Manuel with four goals and an assist, and Ethan Cline who recorded a hat trick.
Jonathan O'Bryan fueled the offense with a game-high three assists, while Peter Zagaroli netted two goals and Noah Moreland added two assists.
In the faceoff circle, Lucas Martinez was dominant, winning 11-of-13 attempts and picking up a game-high nine ground balls. Danny Harrington and Jackson Meyer also took face offs, going 5-7 and 3-5, respectively.
David Nebus and Eli Philips recorded two caused turnovers with Nebus adding four ground balls and Philips two.
In the cage, Noah Miller, Keaton Melcher, and Callum Meroney combined for the shutout, with Meroney recording the team's lone save in the fourth quarter.
