SAVANNAH, Ga. – SCAD swept the Sun Conference (SUN) Swimmers of the Week honors as well as the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Bowlers of the Week for the week ending November 23.
SUN Men's Swimmer of the Week
Levente Mozsarik | Freshman | Kerekegyhaza, Hungary
Mozsarik had a breakout meet for the Bees, earning "A" qualifying standards in each event he competed in, including five relay teams. SCAD set program records in the 200 free and the 400 free relays, in which Mozsarik was a member. The freshman went on to set a program record in the 50 free with a time of 19.68. The Bees finished sixth in the NCAA DI heavy Gamecock Invite hosted by the University of South Carolina.
SUN Women's Swimmer of the Week
Louise Jones | Sophomore | Savannah, Ga.
Jones set "A" qualifying standards in six of the eight events she competed in, including five relays and the 200 IM. SCAD finished seventh, defeating NCAA DII Florida Southern College and NCAA DII Carson-Newman University, as they competed in the NCAA DI-heavy University of South Carolina Gamecock Invite.
Swimming & Diving will host Life University and Brenau University on Friday, January 16, for Senior Day.
SSAC Men's Bowler of the Week
Ethan Caruso | Sophomore | Channahon, Ill.
Earning his first SSAC Player of the Week honor, Caruso finished 13
th at the Collegiate Matchgames. The Sophomore averaged 219 pins across five games.
SSAC Women's Bowler of the Week
Elizabeth Weeks| Junior | Florence, S.C.
Weeks earned the Individual Title at the Collegiate Matchgames with an average of 216 over five games, earning her a spot on the All-Tournament Team. This is the junior's second Bowler of the Week honor this season.
Bowling will travel to the Tier 1 ISBPA Kegel Classic on January 17-18 in Addison, Ill.
