SAVANNAH, Ga. – The SCAD women's soccer team's coaching staff, Head Coach Rebecca Gunn and Associate Head Coach Sinead Byrne, are excited to announce the signing of Lois Beer for the fall of 2024.

"Lois made a great first impression on us coaches" states Coach Gunn. "She is another graduate student that we are looking forward to adding to our team. Lois has an engine and is one of those players who works from start to finish. She has the maturity, experience, soccer IQ, technique and work rate that will make her a contender on the field. We look forward to having her on campus in a few weeks."

Lois Beer is a midfielder from Swindon, England, where she attended Highworth Warneford School. Lois previously played soccer for Clayton State University where she was named CSC Academic All-Distirct (2023), Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024), and received D2ADA Academic Achievement (2022).

Lois intends to major in Creative Business Leadership. She is supported by her parents Hadyn and Nicola Beer and Siblings Jonah and Mily Beer.

When asked about what she was excited about coming to SCAD and being a part of the women's soccer team, Lois responded:

"I chose SCAD because it offered everything I was looking for in my search for a grad school, as well as the opportunity to continue playing collegiate soccer."

"I am looking forward to having the opportunity to focus on my two passions, art and soccer. Art has always been my go-to for expressing life, and therefore, I am looking to pursue a career in the Art Industry. I am excited that I will be able to continue in a sport that I have been playing my whole life. Soccer has been a huge part of shaping who I am, and I want it to continue to help me develop as an individual."
