SAVANNAH, Ga. – The SCAD League of Legends team's Head Coach, Nicholas Daigle, is excited to announce the signing of Dimitry Hernández González as their starting Jungler for the Fall of 2023.

"Dimitry has acquired invaluable experience within his professional League of Legends career" states Head Coach Daigle. "He has everything that a team would want; a large champion pool, elite map awareness, efficient communication, and most importantly he has a great attitude."

Born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Dimitry graduated from Ergos Bilingual School as he launched his professional Esports career.

Dimitry previously played for Arctic Gaming Mexico from January 2021 to April 2021, XTEN Esports from May 2021 to November 2021, and Team Aze from January 2022 to March 2023.

Team Aze cruised through the 2022 Latin America League Opening Playoffs which qualified them for the 2022 Mid-season Invitational. Due to the feat, Dimitry became the first player from the Dominican Republic to participate in a major international event for League of Legends.

Dimitry intends to major in Writing and is supported by his parents Juan Bernandito Hernández Martínez and Flerida Maria Gonzalez Beltre, as well as his siblings, Arantxa Hernandez Gonzalez and Juan Marcos Hernández González.

When asked about why he chose SCAD, Dimitry said "I love reading and it's always been a dream of mine to write a novel. In my country there are no schools that teach writing as a major, so I found the perfect opportunity at SCAD."
