League of Legends Opens Season with Win

QUICK STORY: SCAD's League of Legends team opens the season with a 2-0 win over College of Charleston on Saturday, January 25.

DID YOU KNOW? This match was the first in SCAD eSports history where the Bees were able to host an opponent live and in person. The visiting Cougars traveled from Charleston, S.C. to compete in the SCAD eSports Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED? The Bees were able to handily take down the College of Charleston, winning by a score of 2-0, with both games completed in under 30 minutes.

Returning ADC Matthew Yang (Central, S.C. / Illustration) was able to relentlessly bully the opposing team, finishing the match with well over 20 kills to just a single death. Newcomer's Kolbe Pitts (Chandler, Ariz. / Illustration), John Zhang (China / Industrial Design), Alex Wang (Savannah, Ga. / Interactive Design/Game Development) and Lingyu Chen (Taiwan, China / Undeclared) marking their SCAD debuts.

With this great start to the season, the Bee's look forward to their next challenge against the University of Texas at Austin.

WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will take on the University of Texas – Austin on Saturday, February 1 at 4:00 p.m.
