Offense Leads the Way for No. 1 Women’s Lacrosse

Box Score QUICK SCORE: The No. 1 SCAD women's lacrosse team took on Post University on Friday and won handily with a score of 25-8.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 6-0 while the Eagles fall to 0-6.
 
DID YOU KNOW? This is the third-straight game in which SCAD has scored 20 or more goals in a game. This is the fifth game in-a-row in which the Bees have scored 17 or more goals in a game.
 
GOALS GALORE: Sydney Knego and Taylor Vaccaro scored a game-high six goals and totaled one assist for seven points each.
 
Shannon Flaherty and Jo Mitchell scored four goals each while Drew Dowgiallo tallied two goals. Dowgiallo added five assists as well.
 
Harper Barth, Allison Thierry and Katie Rowell totaled one goal each.
 
OTHER STATS: Along with her four goals, Mitchell tallied four assists for a game-high eight points. The freshman also nabbed four draw controls.
 
Casey Summerson totaled nine draw controls and three caused turnovers while Flaherty tallied four draw controls and four caused turnovers. Knego added six draw controls and two caused turnovers.
 
Emma Devereaux caused four turnovers to go with her two ground balls.
 
Goalies Maggie Lortz (6-0) and Olivia Vieira split time in the cage and totaled three saves each.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The No. 1 Bees will travel to Cumberland, Kentucky on March 23 to play the No, 2 Cumberlands at 1:00 p.m.
