Women’s Soccer 2-0 in TSC Action

Box Score QUICK HIT: The SCAD Savannah women's soccer team is now 2-0 in The Sun Conference (TSC) action after defeating Florida Memorial University 2-1 in overtime Saturday evening.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 7-2-1, 2-0 TSC while the Lions are now 1-3, 0-2 TSC on the season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: With less than five minutes remaining in the first half, Nikki Abel scored off of a pass from Savannah Raines to give the Bees the 1-0 lead going into halftime.
 
The Lions tied the game in the 62nd minute to send the game into overtime.
 
A minute and 39 seconds into overtime, Mikaela Heyboer connected on a pass from Emily Cook to secure the win for the Bees.
 
BOX SCORE: SCAD out-shot Florida Memorial 13-3 with six going on goal.
 
Meghan Grable and Nikki Abel led the Bees in shots with two while nine other players contributed one shot each.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will remain at home to host TSC opponent Thomas University on September 27 at 6:00 p.m.
