SAVANNAH, Ga.- Bees Women's Soccer head coach Rebecca Gunn is pleased to announce the signing of Karmen Rich for the fall of 2026.

Rich is a powerful defender hailing from Cape Coral, Fla. The outside back is coming to Savannah from North Fort Meyers High School where she is a four-year letter winner in both soccer and track & field. Rich also three-time Florida 5A Soccer State Finalist. She played club soccer for Florida West FC ECNL from 2022-2026.

"Karmen is a shutdown defender with explosive athleticism and movement," said Coach Gunn. "Her ability to close space, win challenges and time tackles as well as create overloads in possession will make her a threat on the pitch. Karmen will be a competitive addition to the team, and we are looking forward to working with her this fall."

At SCAD, Rich has decided to expand upon her three Digital Art District Desktop Awards and major in Illustration & Graphic Design. She is supported by her parents Al and Erica Rich as well as her brother Garett and her dog Vinny.

When asked why she chose SCAD Rich said, "I chose SCAD because it's the one school that truly speaks to me. I never thought there would be a place that taught exactly what I want to do or supported who I want to become until I found SCAD. The moment I visited, I felt it immediately "this is where I belong". Seeing athletes who are supported in pursuing their artistic passions and turning them into real careers is something you rarely see at other colleges."
