Tough Road Loss for Women’s Soccer

Box Score QUICK HIT: The SCAD Savannah women's soccer team dropped a tough 1-0 decision to Johnson and Wales University (Fla.) on the road Saturday afternoon.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 7-4-1, 2-2 TSC overall while the Wildcats are 6-4, 3-2 TSC.
 
OUT SHOOTING: Even though SCAD out-shot Johnson and Wales 32-11 with 19 shots on goal to the Wildcats' six it was not enough as they fell 1-0.
 
The Wildcats scored five seconds into the game and it was all that it took as neither team scored for the remainder of the game.
 
BOX SCORE: Hannah Amidon and Annie Sullivan led both teams in shots with six each – three on goal.
 
Sam Manelis, Hope Kemp-Hanson and Nikki Abel totaled four shots each while Stephanie Guerra tallied two. Six other players took one shot each.
 
Goalie Lauren Kittle nabbed five saves in her 90 minutes of work.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees return home to host USCB on Wednesday, October 11 at 6:30 p.m.
