Offense is Fruitful for Women’s Soccer

Box Score QUICK STORY: Offense dominated for SCAD Women's Soccer as they defeated Ave Maria 6-0 on the road Saturday afternoon.
 
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 9-7-1, 4-5 TSC while the Gyrenes fall to 0-11-1, 0-8-1 TSC.
 
NON-STOP OFFENSE: SCAD totaled 23 shots – 11 on goal – to Ave Maria's four (three on goal).
 
Maddy Lambert scored the first goal of the game at the 29:35 mark off a corner kick from Emily Cook. Lambert turned around and scored the second goal on an assist from Mackayla Dean just over three minutes later (33:00) to give the Bees the 2-0 lead.
 
Four minutes later, Nikki Abel scored off an assist by Briana Hunter to go up 3-0 going into halftime.
 
Three more goals in the second half by Annie Sullivan (45:17), Lindsey Crawley (52:12) and Hope Kemp-Hanson (66:37) gave SCAD the 6-0 Sun Conference win.
 
BOX SCORE: Lambert led the Bees with two goals on three shots. Kemp-Hanson totaled four shots while Sullivan tallied three. Five other artist-athletes contributed two shots each.
 
Goalies Lauren Kittle and Natalia McELrath split time in the cage and nabbed one and two saves, respectively.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees return home for the last game of the regular season game on Saturday, October 28 at 3 p.m. when the team hosts St. Thomas.
