Women’s Soccer Celebrates Senior Night

Box Score QUICK SCORE: The SCAD Savannah women's soccer team celebrated Senior Night on Saturday honoring its two seniors prior to the game against Webber International.
 
The Bees lost 2-1 to the Warriors.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 8-6-1, 3-4 TSC while Webber Improves to 6-2, 4-2 TSC.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: Webber scored the first goal of the game in the 32nd minute to take the 1-0 lead.
 
Just over ten minutes later, Emily Cook scored off a pass from Annie Sullivan to tie the game at one all.
 
Unfortunately for the Bees, the Warriors scored again in the 79th minute to ultimately give Webber the 2-1 lead.
 
LAST CHANCE: The last chance SCAD had to send the game into overtime came in the 87th minute when Nikki Abel hit a rocket that the Webber goalie saved.
 
BOX SCORE: The Bees out-shot the Warriors 19-13 with both teams landing four shots on goal.
 
Emily Cook led both teams in shots with five while Hannah Amidon and Nikki Abel totaled three a piece while Annie Sullivan contributed two. Six other players tallied one shot each.
 
Goalie Elisa Doger nabbed two saves in her 90 minutes of work.
 
SENIORS: Prior to the start of the game, the SCAD women's soccer team and the Athletics Department recognized the two senior members of the team – Macy Jarvis and Emily Carroll.
 
WHAT'S NEXT?  The Bees travel to Southeastern University on Wednesday, October 18 for a 7 p.m. game.
