Box Score SCAD women's soccer were edged 2-1 in overtime by Thomas University Tuesday night, November 1, at the SCAD Athletic Complex.
Sophomore
Meghan Grable gave SCAD the lead midway through the first half with a free kick from nearly 35 yards out. Grable's rising rocket scorched the upper 90. Minutes later, TU responded with a shot from the top of the box that beat Bees keeper
Ande Eich to tie the game heading into the half.
After a scoreless second frame that saw chances for both sides, the match headed into overtime. Six minutes into the overtime period, the Night Hawks netted the winner on a near post shot.
"It's always tough losing, but especially tough to lose in overtime," said Coach
Rebecca Gunn. "Our team worked extremely hard, the best I've seen them play since the hurricane hit. We can continue to improve on our performance against Thomas and have a good run at the conference tournament."
The Lady Bees finish their regular season with an 8-9-1 (6-3-1 conference) record, 4th place in The Sun Conference.
