Box Score Waleska, Georgia – The SCAD women's soccer team played Reinhardt to a 1-1 draw Friday afternoon at Ken White Field. SCAD improves its record to 2-1-1, while the Eagles are 0-0-1.
It was an even matchup right from the start as the Bees and Eagles traded shots to start the game but neither team was able to find the goal keeping the score 0-0 at the break.
On SCAD's first possession of the second half Meadhbh Deeney dribbled into the box and took a shot. Her shot ricochet off the post right to Janelle Morgan who found the back of the net to give the Bees a 1-0 lead. The score remained 1-0 until the 70th minute when Amber Jent crossed the ball to Madi Easterwood for the goal to tie the game 1-1. SCAD had a chances to win in regulation but couldn't convert.
SCAD best opportunity to win came in the 98th minute of the first overtime when Morgan found an open Olivia Buechler for a shot that hit off the crossbar keeping the score even.
Ande Eich and Sara Hall combined for four saves on the day.
The Bees return to action Sunday, when they travel to Lawrenceville, Georgia to take on Georgia Gwinnett. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
