Box Score

It was all SCAD on Sunday as the Women's Soccer team broke a two game losing streak to even their record to 3-3 overall for the 2014-2015 season. Two of those victories have come against Middle Georgia State University. The Lady Bees previously faced the Knights back on Aug. 19 when they travelled to Cochran, Georgia where they secured a 6-0 victory.

Middle Georgia was just what the doctor ordered as the ladies experienced their third win of the season – all being shutout victories.

Five different SCAD players were involved in the scoring with two freshmen – Claire Puginier (undeclared) and Michele Treinen (undeclared) – scoring for the first time in a Bees' uniform.  The third goal was supplied by Alex Weinberg (B.A., Advertising Design), her second of the year.  Two other freshmen – Julia Mangione (undeclared) and Zola Owsley (undeclared) – provided assists that helped SCAD secure their win.

Goalies Sara Hall (B.A. Production Design) and McKenzie Nelson (B.A. Illustration) combined for the shutout victory.

The ladies will next travel to Montgomery, Alabama, on Thursday, Sept. 11, to challenge the University of Auburn, Montgomery.

The Lady Bees will return to the SCAD Athletics Complex on Friday, Sept. 19, to play Faulkner University. Home field is located at 3650 Speedway Blvd., in Hardeeville, South Carolina. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
