Box Score
The Lady Bees brought their 3-3 season record up against the 0-3 Warhawks of Auburn University at Montgomery, Alabama. The game was a defensive contest as the 90-minute regulation period ended in scoreless game. Both defenses were tenacious with no team presenting a significant advantage in shots on goal.
Sara Hall, (B.A. production design) had six saves in regulation, demonstrating an impressive defense. It was the overtime that gave the Warhawks the one shot that broke the tie at the 5:54 mark in overtime. And though it was a tough loss for the women's team, it was an overall fantastic game — one that could have gone either way right up to the end.
The women will have a week to prepare for their next game. They take on another Montgomery-based team. This time the Faulkner University Eagles will come to the SCAD home field.
The game is set for Friday, Sept. 19, at 3 p.m. at the SCAD Athletics Complex. The complex is located at 3650 Speedway Blvd. in Hardeeville, South Carolina. Come out and cheer on your Lady Bees!
