Box Score

The Lady Bees lost their second match of 2013.  The Grizzlies of Georgia Gwinnett scored two first half goals and held on to win 2-1.  The defense for the Bees did an admirable job in staving off 18 shots and allowing only two scores.  Ciara Thomas and Ande Eich split goalkeeping duties and each saved two shots on goal.

The Grizzly defense was fierce and they prevented the Bees from making any significant offensive thrust.  The ladies were credited with just two shots on goal for the entire match.  The one and only goal for the Bees was made by Meadhbh Deeney on an assist by Shelby Dieckamp at the fourteen minute mark in the final half.

Hopefully the Bees will find the home environs of the SCAD Sports Complex more to their liking as they return to Savannah to take on Hastings College from Nebraska on August 30.  The match begins at 7 pm.  Come out an support your Bees as they look for their first win on the young season.
