Box Score

It was an evenly matched contest for the Lady Bees as SCAD hosted its fourth conference battle of the season against the Night Hawks of Thomas University at the SCAD Sports Complex.  At the end of regulation the score was knotted at 2-2.  Eliza Balen tied the score at 1-1 in the second half.  Meadhbh Deeney scored three minutes later to give SCAD a lead at 2-1. 
 
The Night Hawks used its final minutes well as they tied the score with three minutes left on the clock in regulation play.  Ten minutes were put on the clock and the first overtime began.  It was a defensive battle for those ten minutes as Thomas took only two shots and SCAD just one.  No scores were posted so another ten minutes were posted for the second overtime.
 
The Night Hawks were successful three minutes into the second overtime as Jenny Hernandez was able to push a score by Ande Eich with a heel shot amidst a crowd of players in front of SCAD's goal.  It was a disappointing end to a well played match.  SCAD falls to 1-3 in conference play, but the ladies have 5 remaining conference matches.
 
Next up for the ladies is an away match against Warner University in Lake Wales, Florida on 10/11.  The game begins at 7 pm.
