The 2012 regular season ended this afternoon for SCAD's Women's Soccer with a 3-1 victory over the Nighthawks of Thomas University. The victory gave the Bees an overall record of 10-5-1 and a Sun Conference record of 6-2-1.
It did not take long for the Bees to score its first goal.
Nikki Wittak put the Bees up 1-0 three and a half minutes into the match. The lead lasted until the 19:43 mark when the Nighthawks tied the game.
The score remained at 1-1 until the second period when Wittak scored her second goal of the game. The score was her team-leading tenth goal of the season.
Shelby Dieckamp contributed her team-leading eighth assist for Wittak. The game was iced at the 87:13 mark when
Alex Proehl was able to kick a rejected shot off of the goalkeeper for the final goal of the match. Final score – SCAD 3 Thomas University 1.
SCAD now waits for the seeding for the Sun Conference Tournament that begins November 1.
