It certainly was the Bees best defensive effort of the season.  It could very well have been the best one in SCAD history.  SCAD not only shut down Ave Maria with a shutout, but their tough defense allowed the Gyrenes only one shot the whole game - and it was not on goal.
 
The Gyrenes could not stop the offensive attack of the Bees as Katelyn LeRoux provided most of the scoring with two goals while Eliza Balen and Shelby Dieckamp scored one each.  It was a team effort as LeRoux, Natalie Besl, Nikki Wittak, and Hannah Papa contributed assists to each of the four goals.
 
The Bees improved their overall record to 9-4 and their Sun Conference record to 5-1.  Next up for the Bees is on 10/13as SCAD travels to Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL.
