LAKE WALES, Fla. – Tara Fadenrecht scored twice and Warner University held on for a 2-1 women's soccer victory over SCAD Savannah Sunday (Sept. 26) afternoon.
The Royals defeated the Bees for the first time in 11 tries as they improved to 2-3-0 overall and to 1-1-0 in The Sun Conference. SCAD saw its four-match winning streak snapped as they fell to 6-3-1 and 1-1-0. The Bees return to action Friday (Oct. 1) when they host St. Thomas (Fla.) University in a 5 p.m. match at the SCAD Athletics Complex.
Fadenrecht scored her first goal of the match in the 24th minute before adding an insurance goal in the opening five minutes of the second half. SCAD got a goal back when
Amanda Barj ricochet her shot off the post and into the net in the 79th minute for her second score of the season.
