BABSON PARK, Fla. – SCAD Savannah recorded its third consecutive shutout as the Bees opened The Sun Conference schedule with a 4-0 decision over Webber International University Friday (Sept. 24) afternoon.
The Bees improved to 6-2-1 overall and to 1-0-0 with their fourth consecutive overall win while the Warriors slipped to 2-5-0 and 0-1-0. SCAD returns to action at 1 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 26) with a league encounter against Warner University in Lake Wales, Fla.
Four different players found the back of the net for the Bees, including three who scored their first goal of the season.
Amanda Barj gave the Bees a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute on an unassisted goal. Molly Werner scored from six yards out off a
Kelsey Hizelberger assist right before halftime.
The Bees scored twice in a three-minute span in the second half as SCAD added some insurance.
Nikki Wittak scored off an assist from
Meike Petri in the 77th minute before Petri closed out the scoring with a goal herself.

Ciara Thomas recorded seven saves as she notched her second shutout of 2010.
