Bees take 2-0 win over Lancers

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. –
SCAD Savannah scored twice in the first half as they picked up a 2-0 women's soccer victory over Grace College Saturday (Sept. 18) afternoon at the SCAD Athletics Complex.

The Bees improved to 5-2-1 as they picked up their second consecutive shutout in as many days while the Lancers fell to 4-5-0. SCAD returns to action Friday (Sept. 24) with a 3:30 p.m. The Sun Conference match against Webber International in Babson Park, Fla.

SCAD took a 1-0 lead as Lauren O'Malley scored her second goal of the season off Gabriella Levandowski's corner kick at the 17:47 mark. The Bees, which outshot Grace 37-7, added an insurance goal at the 39:18 mark. Cydney Parkes served the ball into Shelby Dieckamp, who knocked the ball into the left corner of the goal.

SCAD goalkeeper Ciara Thomas registered five saves in the shutout while the Rochelle Hall had 19 saves for the Lancers.
