MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – The SCAD Savannah women's soccer team erupted for four goals in the second half as the Bees defeated Brewton-Parker College 4-1 Saturday (Sept. 11) afternoon.

The Bees improved to 3-2-1 and will return home Friday (Sept. 17) when they will host Brenau University in a 7:30 p.m. match at the SCAD Athletics Complex.

SCAD took 11 shots in the first half, but couldn't find the back of the net. That changed in the second half. Alyssa Drennen gave the Bees a 1-0 lead at the 52:10 mark. Eliza Balen staked SCAD to a 2-0 lead nearly six minutes later before Cydney Parkes added another strike for the Bees off a Meike Petri assist. After Brewton-Parker scored on its only chance of the match, SCAD closed out the scoring on a Katelyn LeRoux goal in the final seconds.
