RICHMOND HILL, Ga. – SCAD Savannah and St. Thomas (Fla.) University battled to a 1-1 double-overtime draw in a The Sun Conference women's soccer match Friday (Oct. 1) evening at Devaul Henderson Park.

The Bees improved to 6-3-2 overall and to 1-1-1 in the conference while the Bobcats improved to 3-3-1 and 0-1-1. SCAD returns to action Sunday (Oct. 3) with a 1 p.m. conference match at the SCAD Athletics Complex against Florida Memorial University.

St. Thomas took a 1-0 lead five minutes into the second half as Amanda Belarmino scored off a flick from teammate Amanda Trujillo. The Bees, which outshot the Bobcats 22-9, equalized the match at 1 with just over eight minutes remaining in regulation as Megan Jurcak scored her fourth goal of the season. Meike Petri took the initial shot, but St. Thomas goalkeeper Ariana Lorenzo couldn't corral the shot and Jurcak knocked in the rebound.
