MIAMI –
Melissa Feuerriegel's second hat trick in as many matches propelled the Savannah College of Art and Design women's soccer team to a 5-1 The Sun Conference victory over St. Thomas (Fla.) Friday (Oct. 2) afternoon.

The Bees improved to 4-5-0 overall and to 2-1-0 in the conference while the Bobcats fell to 2-6-1 and 1-2-1. SCAD returns to action Sunday (Oct. 4) with a 1 p.m. league match against Florida Memorial University in Miami.

Mindy Beck added SCAD's second goal seven minutes later on a sliding finish before Feuerriegel closed out the half with back-to-back goals.

SCAD scored for the final time on Lauren O'Malley's sixth goal of the season in the 72nd minute off an assist from Michelle Kelley before Tonya Uber accounted for the Bobcats' lone score.
