No. 6 Women’s Golf Finishes Fifth at the NCAA DII Oldfield Intercollegiate, Luo Ties for First

OKATIE, S.C. – The No. 6 SCAD women's golf team fished fifth at the NCAA DII heavy Oldfield Intercollegiate on Tuesday. Yunyi Luo tied for first to win the Individual Title.
 
TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
  • Course: Oldfield Club
  • Rounds: Reduced to two rounds due to inclement weather.
  • Par: 72
  • Yardage: 5975
  • Individuals: 77
  • Teams: 13
TEAM RESULTS: The Bees shot a 621 (310, 311) over two rounds to finish fifth in the NCAA DII heave field.
 
NCAA DII No. 16 University of Indianapolis won the event with a score of 603 (309, 294).
 
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS: Yunyi Luo tied for first with a two-round score of 149 (73, 76) to win the Individual Title.

Madi Saxton and Paula Barrio (playing as an individual) tied for 28th with their respective scores of 156 (77, 79), and 156 (81, 75).
 
With a score of 158, Sharon Shan (81, 77) and Jessica Wang (79, 79) tied for 33rd, while Nuri Seo tied for 50th with a score of 164 (83, 81). Playing as an individual, Nicole Sahagun tied for 68th with a score of 174 (87, 87).
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will travel to Cohutta, Ga. for the Roadrunner Spring Invitational on March 30-31.
