Women’s Swimming Runner-Up at SUN Championship, Men Finish in Third

OCALA, Fla. – The SCAD men's and women's swimming & diving teams placed third and second respectively, at the 2026 Sun Conference Championships on Saturday.
 
TEAM SCORES: The women's team finished as the Runner-Up with a total of 885 points, 32 points behind Keiser University who won the event with 917 points. St. Thomas University finished in third with 786 points.
 
The men's team finished in third with 640.5 points. Keiser University won with 818.5 points, while St. Thomas University finished in second with 798.5 points.
 
SUN MAJOR AWARDS: At the conclusion of the Championships, the Sun Conference awarded the major awards. Levente Mozsarik was named the Men's Freshman of the Year, Finlay Saunders was named the Men's Champion of Character, and Head Coach Rob Zamorano was named the Women's Coach of the Year.
 
DAY THREE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS: Lena Gerl won the women's 1650-yard freestyle with an NAIA "A" qualifying time of 17:51.41.
 
Valle Gonzalez won the women's 100-yard freestyle with an NAIA "A" qualifying time of 50.50, tying the meet record set in 2025.
 
Levente Mozsarik won the men's 100-yard freestyle with a 42.64, setting a new meet record and earning an NAIA "A" standard.
 
Nikki Hahn finished first in the women's 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:15.64, an NAIA "A" qualifying time.
 
DAY THREE TOP EIGHT INDIVIDUAL FINISHES: Sky Marjamaa finished second in the women's 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:34.88., while Frankie Dolby finished in fourth with a time of 18:05.86.
 
Abel Eszenyi finished third in the men's 1650-yard freestyle with an NAIA "A" qualifying time of 15:51.37. The sophomore went on to finish fourth in the men's 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:03.40.
 
In the women's 200-yard backstroke, Jette Haedicke, Elena Wlodarczyk, and Rachel Dawson finished in second (2:00.64 – NAIA "A"), fourth (2:04.86), and sixth (2:07.41), respectively.
 
Finlay Saunders and Dario Rukavina finished the men's 200-yard backstroke in fifth and sixth with their respective times of 1:50.66 and 1:51.93.
 
In the women's 100-yard freestyle, Kailah Dauderman finished in third with a time of 52.20, while Chayton Small finished in sixth with a time of 52.56.
 
Zoltan Tompos finished second in the men's 100-yard freestyle with a time of 44.26 (NAIA "A"), while Jan Gastal finished in sixth with a time of 45.10.
 
In the women's 200-yard breaststroke, Louise Jones finished in second with a time of 2:18.68.
 
Roccio Monge placed seventh in the women's 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:12.51.
 
In the men's 200-yard butterfly, Zsombor Paksi finished sixth with a time of 1:49.84.
