OCALA, Fla. – The SCAD men's and women's swimming & diving teams are sitting in third and second, respectively heading into the final day of the Sun Conference Championships.
TEAM SCORES: The men's team is currently sitting in third with 439.5 points. St. Thomas University is leading with 563.5 points while Keiser University is in second with 512.5 points.
The women's team is in second with 605 points. Keiser University is leading with 672 points, while St. Thomas University is in third with 561 points.
DAY TWO CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS: Valle Gonzalez,
Jette Haedicke,
Louise Jones, and
Kailah Dauderman won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:33.61, setting a meet record in the process.
Nikki Hahn won the women's 100-yard breaststroke with an NAIA "A" qualifying time of 1:02.38.
DAY TWO TOP EIGHT INDIVIDUAL FINISHES: Abel Eszenyi finished third in the men's 400-yard IM with a time of 3:57.15.
In the women's 100-yard butterfly,
Valle Gonzalez finished in third with a time of 55.24 (NAIA "A"), while Roccio Monge (57.40),
Kailah Dauderman (57.94), and
Molly Burton (58.68) finished in fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively.
Zsombor Paksi finished fourth in the men's 100-yard butterfly with a time of 48.91. Paksi finished sith in the men's 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 55.62.
Chayton Small took fifth in the women's 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.61.
In the men's 200-yard freestyle,
Levente Mozsarik,
Zoltan Tompos,
Jan Gastal, and
Caedmon Peterson finished in second (1:37.80), third (1:37.91), fourth (1:39.45), and (1:41.69), respectively. Mozsarik and Tompos's times were NAIA "A" qualifying time.
Louise Jones finished fourth in the women's 100-yard breaststroke with a time 1:04.55.
In the women's 100-yard backstroke,
Jette Haedicke finished in second with an NAIA "A" qualifying time of 55.07, while
Elena Wlodarczyk and
Molly Burton finished in third (57.32) and seventh (59.15), respectively.
Finlay Saunders finished fourth in the men's 100-yard backstroke with a time of 49.81.
Dario Rukavina finished in sixth with a time of 50.69.
