Women’s Swimming First After Day One of SUN Championship, Men in Third

OCALA, Fla. – The SCAD men's and women's swimming & diving teams are in Ocala, Fla. for the 2026 Sun Conference Championships and after day one, the women's team is in first, while the men's team is in third.
 
TEAM SCORES: The women's team totaled 285 points at the conclusion of day one to place first, St. Thomas University is in second with 283 points, while Keiser University is in third with 267 points.
 
The men's team is currently in third place with 182.5 points. St. Thomas University is sitting in first with 263.5 points, while Keiser University is in second with 250 points.
 
CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS: The women's 200-yard medley relay team of Jette Haedicke, Nikki Hahn, Valle Gonzalez, and Siena Masilionis got the finals going with a winning time of 1:41.79, setting a new meet record in the process along with an NAIA "A" qualifying time.
 
Lena Gerl won the women's 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:57.29, setting a meet record by a full two seconds and earning an NAIA "A" qualifying time.
 
In the women's 200-yard IM, Jette Haedicke set a new meet record with a winning time of 2:04.24, earning an NAIA "A" qualifying time.
 
Valle Gonzalez won the women's 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.47, earning an NAIA "A" qualifying time. Her prelim time of 23.25 set a meet record.
 
In the men's 50-yard freestyle, Levente Mozsarik won with a time of 19.42, setting a new meet record, a Sun Conference record and an NAIA record while earning an NAIA "A" qualifying time.
 
Zsombor Paksi, Zoltan Tompos, Levente Mozsarik, and Jan Gastal won the men's 800-yard freestyle relay with an NAIA "A" qualifying time of 6:36.28, setting a new meet record in the process.
 
TOP EIGHT INDIVIDUAL FINISHES: Louise Jones took second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:00.26, while Sky Marjamaa finished in seventh with a time of 5:14.94.
 
Nikki Hahn placed fourth in the women's 200-yard IM with a time of 2:07.73.
 
In the women's 50-yard freestyle, Siena Masilionis finished in eighth with a time of 24.42. In the men's 50-yard freestyle, Zoltan Tompos and Caedmon Peterson finished in fourth and fifth with times of 20.35 and 20.42, respectively.
 
Kimberly Burkett placed third in the women's 1 meter dive with a score of 220.55.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will remain in Ocala, Fla. for day two of the Sun Conference Championships on Friday, February 6.
