Equestrian Makes History with Perfect TOC Score

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The SCAD equestrian team earned a perfect score at the Winter Tournament of Champions, the first perfect score in the 35-year TOC history.
 
After weather rescheduled the original competition date, the Winter Tournament of Champions commenced on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Ronald C. Waranch Equestrian Center.

Reserve Champion - SCAD - Team BEE Strong - 52

HIGH MEDAL: In the TOC High Medal class, riders competed in one of three flat sections before the judge called back her top 8 picks to compete again over fences before pinning the class. The final standings were:

As a part of the 35th year anniversary, a Tournament of Champions Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held halfway through the show. Retired former Director of Equestrian Programs Eddie Federwisch was honored for his successes, along with SCAD alumna Celia Cram, who holds the most wins in tournament history, and, finally, a SCAD horse with outstanding awards and recognition, Maverick, was honored as a member of the Tournament of Champions Hall of Fame. 
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees remain at home to host an IHSA Regular Season event on Saturday, February 7.
