PALM HARBOR, Fla. – The SCAD Savannah women's golf team earned a strong third-place finish at The Invite at Innisbrook, hosted September 29–30 at the Innisbrook Resort, one of the most challenging venues on the NAIA schedule. Against a competitive 14-team field, the Bees posted a three-round total of +33, finishing just four strokes shy of crosstown rival SCAD Atlanta for runner-up honors and only 13 strokes back of tournament champion Dalton State.

The Bees were led by Yunyi Luo, who continued her impressive fall season with a standout third-place finish individually. Luo opened the tournament with a steady round of 71 before firing a tournament-best 68 in the second round to climb the leaderboard. She closed with a 74 on the final day, securing a three-day total of 1-under-par and placing herself among the event's elite competitors. Luo's performance marked one of the lowest scores in the field and showcased her ability to compete at the highest level under pressure.

Jiahui Shan also delivered a top-10 performance, tying for eighth place at +8. Shan provided consistency across her rounds and gave SCAD Savannah another reliable scorer near the top of the leaderboard. Close behind was Paula Barrio, who finished tied for 15th at +13 after three days of solid play.

Rounding out the lineup, Nicole Sahagun posted a three-round total of +18, and Lucy Nimmo both posted a three-round totals of +19, tying for 29th place overall. While their scores came in higher than they hoped, both delivered important counting rounds that kept the Bees firmly in contention for a top-three team finish.

As a group, SCAD Savannah showcased the kind of balance and depth that will be critical throughout the rest of the season. With three players finishing inside the top 20 and all five competitors contributing, the Bees demonstrated their ability to handle a demanding golf course that challenged the field with narrow fairways, strategic hazards, and tricky greens.

Dalton State captured the team title at +20, while SCAD Atlanta claimed second at +29. Behind SCAD Savannah in third, Indiana Wesleyan and Coastal Georgia rounded out the top five.

The third-place showing continues a trend of strong fall results for SCAD Savannah, who proved they can compete against some of the best programs in the NAIA.
