TAMPA, Fla. – For the second consecutive season, SCAD's Mario Goic has been named the Sun Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year.

Goic has been named to the Sun Conference First Team for the second season in a row. So far this season, the graduate student leads the Bees in goals (13), points (30), and is tied for first in assists (4). Goic has totaled three game-winning goals and is 4-4 in penalty kicks, starting in all 14 games in which he has played.

In Sun Conference statistics, Goic is currently tied for first in goals (8) and second in points (17).

"Mario has all the qualities that we ask our players to show in the men's soccer program - Student, Person, Player," states Head Coach John Haworth. Mario is a fantastic Master's student, an even better human, and is now the two-time Offensive Player of the Year, the first time in the program's history. Mario embodies everything that our program stands for, doing so with confidence, great respect for all, and extraordinary humility. I am extremely proud of who Mario is and his achievements."

The Bees will host Southeastern University on Wednesday, November 5, at 7:00 p.m. at the SCAD Athletics Complex for a Sun Conference Quarterfinal.
