SAVANNAH, Ga. - SCAD is thrilled to announce the hiring of Molly Hannis as the new Assistant Swim Coach!

"I'm incredibly excited to welcome Molly to the staff, her experiences will be invaluable to the goals of the program," states Head Coach Rob Zamorano. "Her eagerness to learn and excitement for the sport make her someone I trust greatly with the goals of the team, department, and school."

Molly swam collegiately at the University of Tennessee, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Sport Management from 2011 to 2015. During her collegiate career, she distinguished herself as a formidable competitor, securing titles as an SEC Champion and a two-time NCAA Champion. Her dedication and hard work culminated in her representing the United States at the 2016 Olympic Games, a testament to her exceptional talent and commitment to the sport.

Besides her competitive achievements, Molly has a rich history of coaching and mentoring swimmers of all ages and abilities. She served as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at the University of Tennessee, a Swimming Clinician for the Fitter and Faster Swim Tour, and as an Assistant Coach for the Georgia Coastal Aquatics Team. At these stops she developed curriculum focused on enhancing technique through power and speed. Her ability to analyze video footage and provide targeted feedback has helped numerous athletes improve their performance.

"I'm so excited to have been given the opportunity to work with SCAD swimming this season! I love the direction and vision the administration and staff have for this team, and I'm very much looking forward to working with this talented group of artist-athletes and seeing what we can achieve."
