Rob Zamorano

Since joining SCAD Savannah in 2024, Rob Zamorano has led the Bees to record-breaking success—shattering two NAIA national records and 14 school records in his first season. Under his leadership, the men’s team climbed from a fifth-place finish to national runner-up, while the women’s team improved from ninth to sixth and earned the highest GPA in all of NAIA with a 3.86 in Fall 2024 and again in Spring 2025 with a 3.91.

Before SCAD, Zamorano served as Assistant Coach at Texas Christian University, helping guide both men’s and women’s programs to top Big 12 finishes, program-first national victories, NIC Championship wins in 2024 for both the men and women, and a Division I “most improved” women’s team designation through innovative recruiting and modern training technology. His previous coaching experience includes roles at Florida State University, Club Seminole, Stingrays Inc., and the Sports Performance Center, where he worked with Olympians, world championship qualifiers, NCAA finalists, and developing athletes at all stages.

A Barton College graduate with a B.S. in Exercise Science and Psychology and minors in Sports Management and Nutrition, Zamorano blends sports science, psychology, and cutting-edge training tools to maximize athlete potential. He is equally committed to academic achievement, budget efficiency, alumni engagement, and fundraising efforts to support long-term program success.

Zamorano is a passionate and results-driven swim coach with over nine years of experience at the collegiate and club levels. Known for building championship-caliber teams and developing athletes to compete on national and international stages, he combines technical expertise, strategic recruiting, and a team-first culture to elevate performance in and out of the pool.
