COLUMBIA, S.C. – The SCAD women's indoor track & field team sent three individuals – Julia Gralki, Edith Manfred, and Alex Midgett- to compete in the Carolina Challenge on Saturday.
 
The three competed in the 5000m run, placing second, fourth, and ninth in the field of 14 NCAA DI and NCAA DII athletes.
 
Edith Manfred ran a personal best, finishing second with a NAIA "B" standard time of 18:07.44. Alex Midgett placed fourth with a time of 18:13.74, while Julia Gralki finished ninth with a time of 19:24.50.
 
The Bees will return to Columbia, S.C., for the South Carolina Invite on February 2-3.
