Women’s Swimming Competes at the University of North Florida

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The SCAD women's swimming team traveled to Jacksonville, Fla., on Friday to compete against NCAA DI University of North Florida.
 
RESULTS: The Bees totaled 62 points to the Ospreys' 176 to finish in second.
 
WINNING RELAY: Ellie Alexander, Lillie England, Romane Cayla, and Haley VanBuskirk won the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:42.12.
 
TOP THREE FINISHES: The Bees took the top three spots in the 100-yard butterfly, with Romane Cayla finishing in first (1:03.51), Mia Thatcher (1:03.59) in second, and Lillie England (1:04.83) in third.
 
Haley VanBuskirk finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:41.01, while Sky Marjamaa took second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:16.80.
 
In the 200-yard freestyle, Ellie Alexander took third with a time of 2:00.45. Romane Cayla placed third in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.68. Nikki Hahn placed third in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:28.80.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees return to action when both the men's and women's teams compete at The Sun Conference Championships on February 7-9.
