The SCAD swimming team delivered a strong performance in today's dual meet against Emory University, showcasing the depth and talent of our athletes. The meet was filled with competitive races and outstanding individual efforts, highlighting the hard work put in during training.
 
Notable Performances

Distance Events
In the distance events, Ryan Lipnick led the charge in the 1000 Yard Freestyle, finishing with a commendable time of 10:15.18. Teammate Garrison Allen also swam well, recording a time of 10:16.71, while Nathan Somers contributed with a solid performance of 10:28.11. Their determination in the water set a strong precedent for the rest of the meet.
 
Individual Medley and Freestyle
Leah Givens made waves in the 200 Yard Individual Medley, finishing with a time of 2:12.45. Zoltan Tompos continued to impress in the freestyle events, clocking in at 46.55 in the 100 Yard Freestyle, achieving an NAIA national qualifying time. Jake Litchfield followed closely with a strong performance of 49.20, which met B cut standards.
 
Butterfly and Breaststroke
In the butterfly events, Bo Kasten led the SCAD squad with a time of 1:50.63 in the 200 Yard Butterfly, achieving a national qualifying time, followed by teammate Kevin Keil at 1:51.47, which met B cut standards. In the breaststroke events, Nikki Hahn excelled in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:07.92, also achieving B cut standards.
 
Backstroke Highlights
Dario Rukavina continued to shine in the backstroke events, posting an impressive 53.30 in the 100 Yard Backstroke, which met B cut standards. Molly Burton also made her mark with a time of 1:02.42 demonstrating her skill and determination in the water.
 
Relay Events
The relay events closed out the meet with high energy and teamwork. The SCAD women's relay teams displayed strong performances, while the men's A team in the 400 Yard Free Relay finished with a solid time of 3:16.18, which met B cut standards.
